Who we are:
Missionaries, are a religious community of priests and brothers founded
in 1895 by Saint Guido M. Conforti. Inspired by the life and dreams of
St. Francis Xavier, who left his home country and family to preach the
Word of God to distant lands, we contribute towards making of the world
one single family by proclaiming in word and action the Good News of
God's Reign to non-Christians. We respond to Jesus Christ's invitation
to be His witnesses to the ends of the world by a life-long commitment
to serving the poorest among the poor.
Inspired by St. Guido Conforti and St. Francis Xavier, we serve to keep the local Church aware of, engaged with, and connected to the missionary mandate of the universal Church, principally by witnessing Jesus to those who have yet to know Him. We are a religious missionary congregation of the Catholic Church that exclusively serves our commitment to share our faith beyond the boundaries of Christianity, with our brothers and sisters of different faiths and those who do not espouse any faith. We strive to inspire a new generation to the challenges this mission offers us today in a diverse and pluralistic world.
