Billy is a native of New Orleans, where he first got involved in TEC in the early 1990s. He holds a BA from St. Joseph Seminary College, an MA in Religious Studies from Loyola University in New Orleans, and a Juris Doctorate, also from Loyola. His professional background is in High School Campus Ministry and Religious Education as well as the practice of Law. He worked for the Mother House of the Benedictine Religious Order in Rome in 1999-2000.
Billy says, “TEC came into my life at a key moment when I had developed a faith life that was strong but impersonal. Because of my involvement with TEC, I came to know Christ, instead of just knowing about him. It has also come to define most of my expectations for community and goals for relational youth ministry.”
Billy and his wife Sara met on TEC and are now raising their two young daughters. Billy’s hobbies are Star Wars… and that’s it.
Dennis joined the TEC Conference following a 20-year career as a National Sales Consultant at St. Mary’s Press in Winona, MN. He holds a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Ministry from the Center for Ministry Development and has done graduate work in Theology with emphasis on Sacred Scripture at Saint John’s University in Collegeville, MN. Dennis also directed the Office of Youth Ministry for the Diocese of La Crosse, WI, for 20 years; served as a high school religion teacher and campus minister; and served on the Board of Directors for NFCYM. He is the co-author of several books published by St. Mary’s Press.
Erica is from New Orleans and has been involved with TEC since 2008. She holds a BA in Communications with a concentration in Advertising and has previously worked for advertising agencies, in social media management, and as a copy and ghostwriter. She also taught catechism at her home parish for several years.
She says, “TEC introduced me to a community of people who shared my values and weren’t afraid to live their faith boldly. I began to realize my faith not as something in the background of my life but as part of my identity. In this job, I feel privileged to be a witness to the many ways TEC has touched and changed the lives of others."
Erica and her husband Michael (who met as altar servers at their church) have three sons who keep them constantly on their toes.
