The Gospels are brimming with accounts of Jesus summoning his disciples to follow him. Whether he is promising to make them fishers of men or describing the joy of an illuminated life of faith, we can each imagine our own calling to follow Christ, hearing his voice. Christ saw the giftedness of the fishermen by the Sea of Galilee and fashioned those gifts for the good of all humanity. Similarly, he sees each of our gifts as well, and through the promptings of the Holy Spirit, fashions us to serve each other.
Within our local TEC communities, we have surely all experienced Christ’s call to follow him more closely or in a new way. At the TEC Conference, we rely on your gifts to help strengthen this movement so that others may also hear this call. We would be grateful if you would consider a gift of $50.

Matching Gift Challenge
Recently, a married couple with a decades-long involvement in TEC felt Christ calling them to do something special for the TEC Conference. Their hope is to draw more people into financial support of TEC and to invite past donors to return to their gift giving.
Thus, the TEC Conference is pleased to announce that for the remainder of the 2022 calendar year, there is a matching gift challenge for new and returning donors. Each gift from new donors will be matched dollar for dollar. In the case of current donors, an increase to their usual giving will also be matched. We would be so thankful for your participation in this challenge. May we never tire of hearing the Lord’s voice summoning us closer to him.

Objective
The objective of the matching gift is to call forth first time and former donors to support the TEC Conference financially and to inspire recent donors to increase their level of giving.
Parameters
- The challenge donors will match up to $10,000 in qualifying gifts that arrive between April 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022.
- New donors are people who have not given to the TEC Conference before.
- Their gifts will be matched dollar for dollar.
- Returning donors are those who have not given in the past 4 fiscal years (in other words, their last gift was March 31, 2019 or earlier).
- Their gifts will be matched dollar for dollar.
- Recent donors are those who have given in the past 4 fiscal years (April 1, 2019 - March 31, 2022).
- Recent donors who increase their 2022 (Jan-Dec) giving by 20% or more over their giving in the last calendar year of giving, will see their increase amount matched dollar for dollar.
- Qualifying gifts which come in the form of a recurring donation will have the anticipated 12 month total (or total increase) matched.
