The TEC Conference shares and strengthens TEC primarily through the functioning of several Ministry Teams, which act in concert with the Leadership Council and the office staff.
The Leadership Council is the governing and ministering body of the TEC Conference. It is comprised of State Representatives and Region Coordinators from the TEC family. It holds four annual meetings-- two in person and two virtually. Council members care for the mission of the TEC Conference, which includes good communication with local TEC communities.
The Technology Ministry Team
The Technology Ministry Team assists and advises the Conference office in identifying information technology tools with the potential to extend the reach and improve the effectiveness of the TEC Conference and TEC communities.
The Communications Ministry Team
The Communications Ministry Team assists the Conference office with a variety of communication needs. The team helps to manage our blog, compose Prayer Team emails, and develop other content produced by the TEC Conference.
The Finance Ministry Team
The Finance Ministry Team advises the Executive Director and Leadership Council on key financial matters, including bookkeeping, accounting practices, taxes, and more. Its major project is the development of the annual budget in collaboration with the Executive Director.
The Development Ministry Team
The Development Ministry Team creates and implements a development process for strengthening relationships within the TEC family and with others. It establishes fundraising plans and timelines and continually develops new ideas for fundraising, development, grant writing, and marketing.
The Formation & Enrichment Ministry Team
The Formation & Enrichment Ministry Team helps the Conference office to develop and staff formation opportunities for TEC communities. One of their main projects is the oversight of a Speakers’ Bureau, staffed with presenters skilled in various topics relevant to TEC communities.
The Spirituality Ministry Team
The Spirituality Ministry Team keeps the TEC Movement focused on the charism of TEC. Its role is to clarify, evaluate, and teach the primary principles of spirituality laid down by our founders and as articulated in the TEC Conference Manual. The team both preserves and updates this manual. It also provides and trains adult teams, who in turn, provide formation for TEC communities.
The Encounter Ministry Team
The Encounter Ministry Team coordinates the planning, programming, and execution of the annual TEC Encounter. The team works in conjunction with the host community to create a gathering that meets the needs of TEC communities around the world.
Ad Hoc Ministry Teams
Ad Hoc Ministry Teams are created by the Leadership Council for the benefit of TEC as situational needs require. Currently, a Strategic Visioning Ministry Team (“The Apollo Project” Team) is making plans to implement a bold initiative for the entire TEC family.
The Young Adult Council
The Young Adult Council works to engage young adults in the life of the TEC Conference, provides feedback to the Leadership Council, represents TEC at the National Catholic Youth Conference, and serves in various other capacities as asked by the Leadership Council.
