TEC’s Leadership Council meets in person each year during the summer and winter. This year’s summer meeting took place in Paynesville, MN, from July 11-12, 2019. Our agenda covered:
- Executive Director report & Conference update
- Group formation experience on the Paschal Mystery led by Dennis Kurtz
- Upcoming goals for the Council
- Ministry team updates
- Feedback on the Spirituality Ministry Team’s prayer service editing process
After the first day of meetings, the Council attended Mass with Fr. Tony Hesse, Riverbend TEC’s Spiritual Director. Following Mass, Fr. Tony led the Council in Lectio Divina.
Brian and Ronda Mathiowetz generously donated the use of their lake house, where the Council held their meetings. This was a special treat, as we all enjoyed the beautiful scenery and water activities on the scheduled breaks. Thank you to Brian and Ronda for this opportunity for renewal and relaxation, coupled with productive and fruitful work for TEC!
With the meeting’s conclusion, the Council made the drive from Paynesville to Collegeville, where Encounter 2019 was about to begin at St. John’s University. The Council was able to meet members of Central Minnesota TEC at the university and join with them in prayer before Encounter kicked off. Thank you to each member of the Leadership Council, all the ministry team chairs who were able to attend, and the spouses who volunteered their time cooking and cleaning. The Council will meet next by video conference in October and again in person in January 2020.
