The TEC family gathers for 3 days each year so that our call to encounter Christ may deepen. Everyone who is interested in bettering their TEC community is invited to participate. This annual gathering is normally called "Encounter," but in 2025, we will joyfully celebrate our 60th Anniversary. The 3-day gathering will still follow a similar format to Encounter, in which participants can expect:

• A deeper sense of community
• Networking opportunities with other members of the TEC family
• A greater knowledge of TEC’s spiritual processes
• An opportunity to gather and share resources
• Personal spiritual renewal




We are excited to introduce our 60th anniversary keynote speaker, Steve Angrisano! Steve is an internationally recognized Catholic composer, presenter, and passionate music missionary. Always rooted in humility and faithfulness, Steve’s highly effective and authentic style of ministry springs from his deep love for Jesus Christ. He has traveled around the world for over two decades sharing his unique blend of humor, story and song. Whether it’s at parish missions, youth events, concerts, staff retreats or music workshops, Steve loves working with local ministry teams to bring new life and passion to their Catholic communities. A veteran musician, composer and keynote speaker, Steve has been featured at 10 World Youth Days, emceed three National Catholic Youth Conferences (2005, 2007, 2009), and served as choir director for the youth scola at NCYC 2021. He was honored to serve as emcee when Pope John Paul II visited St Louis in 1999. Steve has presented primary talks, music and workshops at countless events throughout his career, including at TEC’s 50th Anniversary in 2015. Steve holds an M.A. in theology as well as a graduate specialization certificate in sacramental and liturgical theology from Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology. He also holds a B.A. in marketing from the University of Texas at Austin. He and his wife Jenni have three children and four grandchildren.

2025 REGISTRATION 

Please note that registration is MANDATORY, including for members of the local host community. Registering in advance will help us better prepare for providing resources and programming. REGISTRATION: Registration for the event is mandatory for everyone. If you or someone you know would prefer a paper registration form, or if you have other registration questions, please contact erica@tecconference.org. Attendees MUST be 18 or older.

PRICING: The only room type available at the Sarto Center is a private room with a shared bathroom. Thus, there are only two options on the registration: Private room with shared bathroom for $ 265 or Day Rate for $ 145. Married couples who wish to stay on-campus will register for two private rooms for $ 530 total or stay off-campus with two day rate admissions for $ 290.

ROOMMATE REQUESTS: Because there are no double rooms, registrants who stay on-campus may request with whom they would like to share a bathroom rather than make roommate requests.

LODGING: Anyone who selects "Day Rate" for their registration type must either sleep at home or book a nearby hotel room and drive in to the Sarto Center each day. The retreat center is located at 4200 N Kentucky Ave, Evansville, IN 47711. If you choose to stay off-campus, we have a hotel blocks at:

Comfort Inn (3901 Highway 41 N., Evansville, IN, 47711)

DAY RATE: The cost of the day rate covers all meals and programming but does NOT include a room at the Sarto Center. Anyone who chooses the day rate will be responsible for their own lodging accommodations and daily travel to the Sarto Center.

REFUNDS: Full refunds will be available until June 27, 2025. Partial refunds MAY be offered after then.

TRAVEL: In June, we will send a follow-up email to registrants to gather travel details for those who are flying. The local host team from SWITEC will provide transportation for registrants who are flying into the Evansville Airport (EVV). American, Allegiant, Delta, & Breeze airlines service this airport.

The local host team from LOUTEC will make efforts to provide transportation for registrants who are flying into Louisville International Airport (SDF). However, because this is airport is 2 hours from the site of our event, transportation from Louisville cannot be guaranteed.
