During this Lenten season, we invite you to take a moment to bask in the abundance of God's mercy. Lent is certainly a penitential season, but it’s also a season when the Lord surrounds us with his incomprehensible compassion and mercy. Like a loving parent, God gives us opportunities and signs so that we might confront our sin and selfishness, but he also encourages us toward the good with his grace and love. No doubt that as a boy, Jesus himself read Psalm 145:8 while studying Scripture: “The Lord is kind and full of compassion, slow to anger and abounding in mercy.“
On TEC, participants experience an unconditionally welcoming community as well as God’s mercy. This personal, sacramental, and communal experience of God‘s compassion and love is vital to the spiritual lives of our young people. At the TEC Conference, we depend upon your prayers, involvement, and financial support to help us to continue serving TEC communities around the world.
Let us be generous with our young people just as our Father is generous with us. To donate online (via credit card) to the TEC Conference so that we may continue to share and strengthen the TEC movement, please follow this link. Checks may be made out to "TEC Conference" and mailed to 2241 Mendez Street, New Orleans, LA 70122.
Thank you for responding to the Father’s mercy with love and selflessness. May you feel the encouragement this Lent of a Father who is slow to anger and abounding in mercy.
