TEC’s Leadership Council meets twice in person each year during the summer and winter. This year’s winter meeting took place in Moline, IL, from January 3-4, 2020. Our agenda covered:
- Executive Director report
- TEC center community reports
- Group formation experience on the Theological Reflection Process with Kevin Feyen
- Upcoming goals for the Council
- Ministry team breakout sessions and updates
- Information about the upcoming login section of the website
After the first day of meetings, the Council got to enjoy Happy Joe’s pizza (a local specialty) and visited the Quad City Botanical Center, where they took in a beautiful Christmas light display designed by the Council’s very own Executive Team Chair, Kate Mapes. The evening wrapped up with ice cream at another local specialty, Whitey’s.
The meeting was held at the Believers Together Center, where Northwest TEC holds their retreat weekends and shares with the local parish and Cursillo group. The Council enjoyed getting to meet some of the local community members, and we greatly thank them for sharing their facility and all of their hospitality.
The Council wrapped up their meeting with a special thank you to two members whose terms are coming to a close. Executive Team Treasurer, Dale Kreher, and Missouri State Representative, Janelle Stephens, were presented with copies of a special print that holds a special meaning to TEC co-founder Fr. Matt Fedewa. We thank Dale and Janelle for their dedication and service to TEC.
The Council will meet next by video conference in March and again in person in July right before Encounter 2020 in Kansas City, KS.
